Finance for Practitioners

There’s more to managing money than profit and loss columns, every social enterprise needs to have effective financial procedures in place to keep themselves right.

All social enterprises, no matter their size or scale, must be able to keep their  financial management systems in good working order. Indeed, when it comes to business planning, strategic development and management, all third sector organisations involved in trade or enterprise need to be able to present accurate financial information to their management committee, board of directors or trustees.

This 2-day course introduces a range of practical financial solutions that you can use to ensure your organisation is operating within a framework of robust financial procedures. Over the two days you will be introduced to the kinds of financial controls, procedures and reports that your organisation will need to provide accurate and up-to-date financial information. Topics covered will include bank reconciliations, financial controls and statements, constructing a budget, costing and pricing and financial ratios.

Please Note: Day 2 of this course contains material covered by our Costing & Pricing workshop
